CEREC is a high technology CAD-CAM system that in many cases makes the one-appointment crowns or onlays possible. Using the CEREC, Dr. Murray takes a digital image of the tooth with a prismatic camera, designs the crown or onlay on the computer, and then the milling unit mills a porcelain restoration in minutes. There's no waiting for a lab to make a crown, no uncomfortable temporaries and no return visit.
